You look into my eyes…
Like you really know me…
You preach your words of wisdom…
To try and make me see…
You want to change my world…
Make everything seem better…
You try to mend my heart…
With words and pictures in a letter…
You need me to simply understand…
That my life is perfectly wonderful…
You slowly take my hand…
Dance like we’re in a musical…
But you don’t really know me…
What’s eating at my soul…
That this world where I live…
Is just a dark and dingy hole…
I’m failing to connect…
I’m failing to see the light…
I’m trapped in this limbo…
Don’t have strength to fight…
My feelings are just numb…
I’m not able to cry or care…
And no matter how I try…
No warmth exists in there…
And Nineteen Eighty Four…
The number from the song…
It circles round and round…
It’s been playing for so long…
It binds me to the past…
Refuses to let me move on…
I am here, not sure where…
Everything I do is wrong…
But you think you can fix me…
Yet you really have no clue…
You act with zero empathy…
You make this all about you…
You just need to be my hero…
But you cannot change a thing…
I’m trapped in here forever…
And I cling, I cling, I cling…

What a broken heart can create, it’s truly astonishing. Keep up the good work.
